Wellman’s has been a Des Moines institution since 1982 — and the Rooftop location at West Glen brought the brand into a new era. The vibe is sports bar meets rooftop lounge: nonstop games on TV, a full bar and grill menu, and an open-air rooftop deck that makes it one of the best warm-weather spots in the metro. Guests consistently call out the koi pond patio, the spacing between tables (you can actually hear your group), and a food menu that goes well beyond typical bar fare.
