About This Venue
Born out of a post-Sandy rebirth in 2013, Vagabond was taken over by lifelong Atlantic City locals Elvis Cadavid and Tom Harris — ACHS alums who bet on their neighborhood and won. What started as a neighborhood tap house quickly became one of the best bars in New Jersey, earning that title from BestThingsNJ.com in 2015 and never really letting it go.
The vibe is cozy and edgy — reclaimed wood, corrugated metal, a fireplace, and enough big screens (20+) that there’s never a bad seat for the game. The tap list is the best in Atlantic City by most accounts, with a custom house IPA brewed just for Vagabond. The food menu swings wide: craft burgers, tequila shrimp bangers, goat cheese salads, short rib grilled cheese, and a Three Way Sandwich that regulars won’t shut up about.

Vagabond also runs Vagabond Charities, Inc. — a legit nonprofit that funds local scholarships through events like the annual Vagabike Bar Crawl, which draws 300+ riders down the AC Boardwalk every fall. This is a bar with roots.
