About This Venue
Garden State Beer Company opened in March 2016 in a building with serious history — the old Delareto’s nightclub, a Galloway landmark dating to the 1950s that once hosted a young Frank Sinatra. The brewery was founded by Dr. Jason Stairs, who holds a PhD in chemistry and turned his passion for homebrew science into a full craft operation, alongside his wife Carisa (assistant brewer and tasting room manager) and partners Brian Krenzien and Bryan Saul.
Their motto is “A Beer For Everyone” — and they mean it. With 16 taps running everything from crisp cream ales and fruit wheats to imperial IPAs and barrel-aged stouts, they’ve built a lineup that wins over people who think they don’t like craft beer. Particular attention is paid to water chemistry — Jason’s background in chemistry gives the brewery a technical edge that shows up in the consistency and drinkability of every pour.

The brewery doesn’t serve food in-house, but food trucks park outside regularly — every Friday during Quizzo. Check their schedule before you go. They do keep Chex mix at the bar for emergencies.
GSBC has become a genuine community hub — a Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite multiple years running, a fundraising mecca for local causes, and home to dart leagues, cornhole sets, book club, music bingo, and a house band. The tasting room is large, warm, and unpretentious.
